Dr. Tanu Jain
Tathastu Institute of Defence Services has been established under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Tanu Jain, a doctor turned civil servant and now a nationally respected mentor and guide. Her inspiring journey from the field of medical science to nearly a decade of distinguished service in the Armed Forces Headquarters Civil Services (AFHQ) is a testament to resilience, dedication, and purpose.
With a tenure of over 7.5 years in the AFHQ, Dr. Tanu Jain served in pivotal roles as Assistant Director at the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and in the Office of the Raksha Mantri, contributing to key areas of defence policy and administration.
Today, she leads Tathastu Defence with a clear vision-
“To develop in every youth, coming from varied backgrounds, the confidence, personal positive qualities, and values necessary to wear the officer uniform with dignity and pride.”
Col. Sanjeet Sirohi (Retd.)
Col. Sanjeet Singh Sirohi was pursuing his Master of Business Economics from Delhi University when he was selected for the Indian Military Academy, marking the beginning of an illustrious journey of service to the nation. Commissioned into the 20th Lancers in 1976, he went on to become an alumnus of both the Institute of Armament, Pune, and the prestigious Defence Services Staff College, Wellington.
Over the course of his career, he served in the North-East and Jammu & Kashmir during the peak of counter-insurgency operations, and had the honor of commanding the 20th Lancers. His vast experience spans across training, operational, administrative, and intelligence wings of the Army, reflecting his versatility and leadership.
Having dedicated 35 years to the Indian Army, Col. Sirohi now mentors the next generation of defence aspirants, specializing in SSB training, leadership development, and Interview guidance, helping young candidates realize their dream of joining the Armed Forces.
Ms. Umang Khokhar
Program Head – Tathastu Institute of Defence Service.
Coming from a strong defence background, She has cleared CDS (Four times) and AFCAT (Twice,) bringing unmatched first-hand exam experience. She holds a B.Tech in Biotechnology (Amity University) and a Certification in Behavioural Sciences, enhancing her grasp of psychology and leadership traits.
As a General Studies & Current Affairs faculty, she simplifies concepts, builds strong foundations, and trains students with clarity and analytical skills.
She mentors aspirants beyond academics, guiding them through psychological challenges, instilling officer-like qualities, and shaping them into confident future leaders.
